On July 29, 2010 students from the Student Career Opportunity Outreach Program (SCOOP) at Children’s Hospital visited the Boston College (BC) William F. Connell School of Nursing (CSON).  SCOOP allows children, youth, and young adults to explore nursing as a career.

SCOOP participants met with KILN scholars: Morine Cebert, Jennifer Etienne, Gio Trilleras, and Sania Beckford, as well as the Associate Dean of the Undergraduate Program and KILN Project Director, Catherine Read.  Associate Director of Student Services at CSON, Maureen Eldredge, also stopped by. KILN scholars shared their experiences as nursing students at BC and answer questions from the SCOOP members. The discussion included topics such as: adapting to college, nursing curriculum, health care professions, and financial aid. SCOOP students ended their day trip to BC with a guided tour provided by the KILN scholars.
